Our trip to Savannah, Georgia

Just wanted to share some pictures from Savannah, Georgia with you all.  It was a pretty place but unfortunately our timing was bad - just after the hurricane so they were still cleaning up fallen trees, etc.  It was a very pretty city though.

Large Sentiment Challenge - LIVE LOVE CARDS

I have had this stamp set from Hero Arts for quite some time and wanted to work with it.  So this gave me a great opportunity - even though it's the middle of summer! LOL

I used Cherry Cobbler paper from Stampin Up and embossed the sentiment in SILVER embossing powder.  Then I embossed the snowflakes from Close to My Heart (Snowflakes)with Ranger - Holographic embossing powder.  It gave it a nice shine but didn't overpower the card I thought.
Since I thought it needed a bit of dimension - I added some silver sequins on to the middle of the snowflakes (A girl just can't have too much bling! LOL).

Hope you like it.

Christmas Card with Snow Flakes

To take my mind off of the excessive heat here in Arizona, I decided to create a Christmas card in June!  LOL  Over at Live Love Cards they are having a challenge to use big sentiments - I hope this constitutes a big enough sentiment.

Supplies:
Paper:  SU Cherry Cobbler
Sentiment:  Hero Arts "Joy to All"
Snowflakes large - CTMH "Snowflakes"
Red sequins
White glitter ribbon
White embossing powder

Follow Your Dreams

Today I was fooling around with my Silhouette and also some glitter embossing powders.  This is not my typical card but I wanted to try something different for a change.

I'm kind of wishing I hadn't put that butterfly up top now - but oh well!  LOL

Butterfly Card

Live Love Cards' monthly challenge was to use butterflies in a card so I made this one and also made it into an anniversary card for a friend.

Happy Easter

Can't believe it's Easter already on Sunday - where has this year been going.  Here is an Easter card that I made this month.

I was able to cut the bunny image from Silhouette and then offset it with SU Melon Mambo paper - a very bright and cheerful color that I love.  The "Easter Blessings" was also cut from Silhouette.

Bright Birthday Card

Today I wanted to share with you a birthday card that I made with bright and cheerful patterned paper.  It's not my usual card but I wanted to do something outside my comfort zone for once.

Just wanted to share my latest creation and hope you all like it.  I wanted to create the feel of a room getting ready to have some tea.

January Post

Since January usually means cold weather in most places (happily not here in Arizona!) I thought I would do a spring like card to cheer the spirits.  On Live Love Cards the January challenge had us thinking about using the same stamp as a background and then popping one off the page as an accent. I heat embossed the flower in black and then aqua painted it with my Stamp Up ink on water color paper.  This is my first water color attempt with an aqua painter and Stampin Up inks.  I'm happy with the way this turned out and the way the black sentiment pops off the card too.  Hope you like it.
