Working with Card Sketches

I recently came across some card sketches that I wanted to try out from Pinterest.  My favorites have been from Mojo Monday blog which is no longer running but they have many sketches with examples that I just adored.

I just loved the look of Mojo Monday Sketch #355 with all of its great details and fun edges.

Splitcoaststampers was having a challenge for cards with script.  I dug out an older stamp called "Garden Collage" from Stampin Up that worked perfectly for this challenge as it had script in the background.  Then I also found some yellow paper in my stash that had some script in it as well.

Here is the card that I created.  I thought about using a white card base but liked the green and how it tied in with the green in the stamp and also the green in the leaves.  I have always loved the combination of yellow and blue together.  I colored the stamped image with Copic markers and sponged the background of the stamped image with Mermaid Lagoon oxide ink.

Then I wanted to create another card for a friend with the same stamp set and with a slight alteration of the card sketch.  I love the border in white on this one with just a touch of yellow.  I changed up the tag on this one a bit too.
